Our morning in the calf barn

This morning Hale and I fed calves with Landon. It was really fun to have some extra "daddy" time and the work was actually pretty enjoyable too! The farm usually has 200 hungry calves in the barn and about 75 of them haven't been weaned so they still need bottles. I think Hale might have been a little jealous watching me give bottles to other babies.

Landon filling the bottles.

Hale entertaining himself with a clean nipple.

The bottles all ready to go.

Saying goodbye to the calves before we left.

Great photos, I had not seen th bottle operation yet. Libby always want to go to The Vandyk's Website. We wanted to see some of the calves drinking out of bottles. You provided one of the highlights of a quite Friday Night. Have a good Libby and Tom.

Tom and Libby-
I did want to get some pictures of the calves drinking from their bottles. Unfortunately, they were so anxious to eat that they kept sucking on my camera lens as I was passing out the bottles. :-) I had to put it away until we were done (and then do a good washing when I got home). I'll have to go back another morning to get a few action shots. - - Becky
