Breakthrough!

The last time I sat down to write I encountered a glitch that prevented me from successfully posting to the blog.  Basically, I changed a setting and then couldn't remember how to change it back.  It's been so long now that I've forgotten what the problem was, but happily, so has my computer.  So I guess I'm good to move forward.  Yay!

It's probably okay that the blog was broken because in January we found out that we are expecting baby number 3 and the first trimester was kind of a (nauseous) blur.  The second and third trimester have been better so I've been back on my feet and so is....

...this little girl! On her feet, that is.  She finally deemed her legs an acceptable mode of transportation and it's made playing around this summer much more fun!  She has suddenly grown into such a big girl- talking and pretending and making jokes.  It's been a joy to watch her personality emerge.  She is quite a daddy's girl so the past month of raspberry harvest has been a little tough on her.  We had a lot of dramatic goodbyes in the field after dropping off food for Landon.

Hale is as energetic as ever.  He devotes much of his at-home time to creating "real life" Angry Bird scenarios (and then shooting them down with his homemade slingshot).  He also loves to draw, paint and craft- his creative requests could keep me (his assistant) sketching, cutting and gluing full-time.  He continues to increase his amount of farm-time with Landon as he gets older and (hopefully) easier to have around.  He understands that farming takes a lot of work and enjoys helping.  He is also enticed by occasional stops at the corner store with Dad for Gatorade and Mike and Ikes.

Hale was not officially invited to this photo shoot- but he hates to be left out.

It is so unbelievably easy to get him to smile. He is an optimist just like his dad- and has quite a silly streak too.

He started cheesing a little bit so I tried a little reverse psychology on him- insisting that he NOT smile for the next few pictures.  That didn't really work- turns out that when he puts his mind to it, he's also excellent at not-smiling.

Here are the rest of the pictures I took of Zetta.  I can't believe how much she has changed since my last post :-).
